From the USA, Jacob first came to Thailand in 2008 via India to attend an advanced yoga teacher training on the advice of a friend studying for a graduate degree at Harvard Divinity School. He fell in love with the friendly culture, scenic nature, and delicious healthy food. He also fell in love with his wife Angie (who manages bridal hair and makeup or other logistics for ceremonies). Before getting involved full-time with weddings, he was featured on the spa menus at various 5-star resorts in Phuket for teaching meditation, yoga, tai chi, and holistic counseling.
In 2009, he began his public speaking career as a lecturer in the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism at Phuket’s leading university (Prince of Songkla University). He went on to manage marketing communications and administer training and public relations at the island’s most popular wedding venue (Katathani Phuket Beach Resort), where he helped open three new resorts with the rapidly expanding Katathani Collection. He still serves as their on-call wedding reception M.C.
His passion is in the wedding industry:

I have had the honor of leading many ceremonies filled with laughter, tears, and bliss… Each is different, but they are all united by a thread of loving commitment, the spirit of love pronounced and witnessed.”
Jacob is not religious, although he deeply identifies with, and has experienced many profound and varying religious and spiritual/mystical phenomena. He avoids imposing any abstract or religious concepts in ceremonies unless requested by couples. Ordained by three universal ministries: Humanist, First Nation, and Interfaith, he offers non-denominational and secular (non-religious) wedding ceremonies and can also offer tailor-made religious/sectarian ceremonies as requested: Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Taoist, Celtic, Native American, etc.
All ceremonies are tailor-made down to the last word if couples prefer or can be standardized according to Jacob’s traditional-style wedding script, which also provides a modern, heartfelt, and fairy-tale vibe—a classic nuptial experience to be cherished for a lifetime.
